3. Installing PowerBuilder 2019 R2
The PowerBuilder 2019 R2 installation package can install the PowerBuilder IDE, SnapDevelop (including .NET DataStore and PowerScript Migrator plug-ins), and PowerServer. Offline installer failed to start If you are running the offline installer on a machine with Windows 7, the offline installer may fail to start (it does not respond at all when it’s double-clicked). This problem occurs because the server certificate has been updated, and the installer timestamp signature or certificate could not be verified in Windows 7 unless Internet connection is available. Solution: In such case, you will need to make sure the machine has Internet connection, and then try to run the offline installer again. If the machine cannot have Internet connection, please contact Appeon Technical Support for a solution. Note that: Step 1: Log into the Appeon User Center, and download the PowerBuilder Installer executable from the Downloads page on the Appeon User Center. The PowerBuilder Installer executable (PowerBuilderInstaller_bootstrapper.exe) is available in your download directory after it is downloaded. Step 2: Double click PowerBuilderInstaller_bootstrapper.exe to start the PowerBuilder Installer (you must have administrator privileges to run the installer). Step 3: Select to agree to the license terms and click Continue. Step 4: Click Install under PowerBuilder 2019 R2. Step 5: On the Products tab, select PowerBuilder IDE, SnapDevelop, .NET DataStore, PowerScript Migrator for SnapDevelop, PowerServer (PB Edition), PowerServer Toolkit, and PowerServer Help. Step 6: Click Install to begin the installation. Step 7: When the installations are completed, click Restart now to reboot the system.
4. Activating PowerBuilder 2019 R2 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
You are required to activate PowerBuilder, SnapDevelop, and PowerServer (PB Edition) first before using it. If you do not have a valid account, please contact your license administrator to create an account for you. And depending on whether the machine where the product is installed has Internet access or not, the account should be assigned with an online license or offline license by your license administrator. Follow the "Activating PowerBuilder" section in the Appeon License User Guide to activate PowerBuilder and SnapDevelop (the instruction is the same for activating PowerBuilder and SnapDevelop). Follow the "Activating PowerServer" section in the Appeon License User Guide to activate PowerServer (PB Edition). |
