1. Introduction to Appeon InfoMaker 2019 R3

Welcome to Appeon InfoMaker!

Appeon InfoMaker is a powerful yet easy-to-use reporting and data maintenance tool that lets you work with data in the Windows environment.

2. System Requirements

Before installing Appeon InfoMaker 2019 R3, please ensure that your system meets the requirements below:

Windows 10 or 8.1
Windows Server 2019, 2016, or 2012 R2 (supports application runtime only, not development)
(Optional) SAP SQL Anywhere 17.0, 16.0, or 12.0, or PostgreSQL 12, 11, or 10 (for running the demos)

3. Installing InfoMaker 2019 R3

If you plan to install InfoMaker and PowerBuilder on the same computer, make sure the InfoMaker version is identical with the PowerBuilder version.

Step 1: Log into the Appeon User Center, and download the InfoMaker Installer executable from the Downloads page on the Appeon User Center.

The InfoMaker Installer executable (InfoMakerInstaller_bootstrapper.exe) is available in your download directory after it is downloaded.

Step 2: Double click InfoMakerInstaller_bootstrapper.exe to start the InfoMaker Installer (you must have administrator privileges to run the installer).

Step 3: Select to agree to the license terms and click Continue.

Step 4: Click Install/Modify under InfoMaker 2019 R3.

Step 5: Select InfoMaker from the Programs tab, and then select PowerBuilder Runtime from the Components tab.

Step 6: Click Install to begin the installation.

Step 7: When the installations are completed, click Restart now to reboot the system.

4. Activating InfoMaker 2019 R3

You are required to log in to (and activate) InfoMaker IDE first before using it. If you do not have a valid account to log in, please contact your license administrator to create an account for you. And depending on whether the machine where InfoMaker is installed has Internet access or not, the account should be assigned with an online license or offline license by your license administrator.

5. Uninstalling InfoMaker 2019 R3

Before you uninstall InfoMaker, make sure you have logged out InfoMaker if using an online license or have deactivated the offline license. For how to log out InfoMaker or deactivate an offline license, refer to Log out to de-activate or De-activating an offline license in the InfoMaker Installation Guide.

Launch Uninstall a program in the Windows Control Panel. Select InfoMaker IDE 2019 R3 and click the Uninstall button to begin the uninstall process.
