3. Installing PowerBuilder 2019 R2 Beta

The PowerBuilder installation package can install the PowerBuilder IDE and SnapDevelop.

Offline installer failed to start

If you are running the offline installer on a machine with Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, the offline installer may fail to start (it does not respond at all when it’s double-clicked). This problem occurs because the server certificate has been updated, and the installer timestamp signature or certificate could not be verified in certain OS (Windows 7 or Window Server 2008 R2) unless Internet connection is available.

Solution: In such case, you will need to make sure the machine has Internet connection, and then try to run the offline installer again. If the machine cannot have Internet connection, please contact Appeon Technical Support for a solution.

Step 1: Log into the Appeon User Center, and download the Appeon Installer executable from the Downloads page on the Appeon User Center.

The Appeon Installer executable (AppeonInstaller_bootstrapper.exe) is available in your download directory after it is downloaded.

Step 2: Double click AppeonInstaller_bootstrapper.exe to start the Appeon Installer (you must have administrator privileges to run the installer).

Step 3: Select to agree to the license terms and click Continue.

Step 4: Click Install under PowerBuilder 2019 R2 Beta.

Step 5: Select PowerBuilder IDE and SnapDevelop from the Available list on the Products tab, and select DataWindow Converter from the Components tab.

Step 6: Click Install to begin the installation.

Step 7: When the installations are completed, click Restart now to reboot the system.

You are required to activate PowerBuilder first before using it. If you do not have a valid account, please contact your license administrator to create an account for you.
