Hi Mike,

Thanks for the feedback. I will send your suggestion to the development team.

it should allow you to open the application object (read only mode is fine) in the regular editor. that is plain common sense. It is extremely annoying the way it works now.

Hi Mike,

In all PB versions, only the current application object can be open in each PB application and other application objects not in use cannot be opened. I think this design is intended to keep users from using the wrong application object.

If the developers have to open other application objects, they can open them in Library Painter, where it opens the Edit Source window as Ready-Only.

Hi Mike;

  I'll take that response as "Yes, I would this to be an enhancement".

  I will now transfer this ticket over to the main Support / Engineering team for their review & feedback.

Regards .... Chris

Stupid in version 1 is still stupid. That no one bothered to change it doesn't mean it is a good idea

Hi Mike;

   Yes, that is the way it's been since PB 1.0.

   Are you looking at this then as an enhancement request?

Regards .... Chris

need to be able to at least look at the code and settings in an application object. The IDE prevents this unless that application object is setup to be the target's application object.

we have to export the application object just to look at it. we can't even use the edit source feature
