I have a new desktop which has PB 2019 R3 installed, I don't have any issues anymore on my new machine. So yes, you may close this ticket.

Hi Kenny,

Are you still facing this matter in PB 2017 R3 or PB 2019 ?
can we proceed to close the ticket?

Ken

Hi Kenny,

This issue really strange. I suggest you:
1. create a small PB test case. Use a new PBW and then connect to SCC to see if the actions like Add/Check Out, etc. could work well.
2. Check the SCC account you connected and see if it has the full right.
3. Try to find a laptop/PC to test and see if other machines have the same issue so that we could rule out whether it is related to your machine environment.

Ken

Hi Ken,

The answers to your questions:
 1) No, this is the only machine in our company.
 2) Yes, the issue persists when run in Administrator mode.
 3) I hadn't used my PB license for a while, so I can't tell when exactly it stopped working. The version of Powerbulder has not been changed on my device since I last used it.

I have reinstalled Powerbuilder, it didn't fix the issue.

Kenny

Hi Keeny,

We can’t duplicate this issue on our side. I have some questions for you:
1. Can you reproduce this issue on other machines in your company?
2. Does the issue exist if you use Run as administrator to launch PB IDE?
3. Can you record when this issue started? Do the previous PB versions also have this issue?

If only one machine has this issue, I suggest you reinstall PB and then see if it works.

Ken

Hi Armando,

We've contacted Roland for further investigation, this didn't resulted in a solution.
Because we are not using the latest version of WizSource Roland can't investigate this problem any further.
We haven't had the time to update WizSource on our side.

You may close this ticket as I do not know when and if we will invest more time as I currently don't have any issues on another (new) device.

Kind regads,
Kenny Verhoye

Hi Kenny;

 The SCC Log file looks OK.

 If it works OK form another PC then it sounds to me like maybe a mismatch in the .PBG control file as to what the PB IDE "thinks" the SCM has control over vs what WizSource thinks the object are registered to your project.

 Sounds like the best for now is to talk with Roland first. I'll await your further feedback before digging deeper on my side.

pbscc.log (3KB)

Hi Chris,

I haven't reached out to Roland yet, we will contact him.
I've added the logfile as attachment, I don't see anything unusual. In the mean time I'm working on another machine with my account on which I don't have any issues.

Kind regards,
Kenny Verhoye

Hi Kenny;

  Thank you for the connection confirmation.

  In that same screen capture dialogue you just provided, please check the "Log All Activity" checkbox and try the SCM connection again. Afterwards, please attach the SCM log file to this ticket. Many thanks in advance!

  Have you contacted Roland at WizSource to see if he provides any further diagnostics from the SCM "Server" side?

Hi Kenny;

   Can you connect to the WizSource SCM software from the PB IDE's WorkSpace => "property" => "Source Control" dialogue's tab?

*Phenomenon:
I can't perform any of the source control options in the Powerbuilder IDE. They are just greyed out, I've added a screenshot of the context menu as attachment. The objects under a PBL shows a sign of out of sync, but I can't use option 'Get Latest Version' as it's greyed out. We use WizSource as source control. Thanks in advance for your reply!
