Hi Vincent, I suggest that you upgrade your PB application to Appeon PowerBuilder 2019 R2 GA (build 2353) or Appeon PowerBuilder 2017 R3 GA (build 1915). In these versions, we've incorporated back the very same OEM implementation and version of the TX Text Control that was incorporated in PowerBuilder 12.6, in addition to the existing RichText editor options: "Built-in Rich Edit Control" and "TX Text Control ActiveX X14 Professional/Enterprise". This new built-in TX Text Control does not require any separate purchase or license activation and will theoretically work the same as the one incorporated in PowerBuilder 12.6. So if it does work in PB 12.6 but does not in PB 2017, kindly please test it against these versions of Appeon PowerBuilder 2019 R2 GA (build 2353) or Appeon PowerBuilder 2017 R3 GA (build 1915) and make your impact on the product's evolution. Your valuable feedback will help us build a product in the near future that works better for you. Please refer to the below steps to test your reported issue: 1. Download and install these versions Appeon PowerBuilder 2019 R2 GA (build 2353) and Appeon PowerBuilder 2017 R3 GA (build 1915) from https://account.appeon.com/download. (requires login) 2. In PB IDE, open your application and go to Application (object) --> Additional Properties --> Richtext Edit tab --> switch to Built-in TX Text Control) --> OK. 3. Save the changes and begin your test. Regards, Mark Lee

For my last remark ... When you said "BTW, The built-in Rich Edit Control will no longer be eligible for technical support in the coming PB 2019 R3:". What will replace this component ? I use "RichTextEdit" control included in PB ("Insert", "Control", "RichTextEdit"). If i may not use this controle, how can i replace it ? Best regards

Hi everybody sorry for my late answer. 1. When you get an error opening RichTextEdit control in PB IDE: No, it arrived only on runtime environment. SO PB is not installed 2. If you get the error in runtime environment, please also check if the same files exist. I transmit to my team and we will verified that next time but we generally copy all the kit with our program. 3. If you still have the issue even though the above DLL files are all there: Please uninstall PB and reinstall it after you disable the anti-virus software or Windows Defender. No, it arrived only on runtime environment. SO PB is not installed When you said "BTW, The built-in Rich Edit Control will no longer be eligible for technical support in the coming PB 2019 R3:". What will replace this component ? Thank's for your answer and have a nice end of year. Best regards
