Hi Uri;

  Thank you for trying the other TX options. Sorry that this did not cure your issue.

  I will now transfer this ticket over to the main Support / Engineering team for their review & feedback on this problem.

Hi Chris
Thank you for your input!
I just experimented with the different RichTextEdit control options, and the bug occurred on all of them in some form. For production we'll use TX.

Hi Uri;

  Thank you for the test case! I was able to replicate your issue on my MS-Windows build 19041.

  However, I noticed that in your Test Case App that you have set the RTE control and DWO to use the "Obsolete" TE Control to support RTF processing.

  Please change the RichText control in your test case application to use the new TX Control v28. This will be the new standard in R3 GA going forward.

Regards ... Chris

RichTextReport.zip (6990KB)

*Phenomenon:
Rich text in a DW column displays differently when the object has focus.

*Reproduce Steps:
1. Extract all files from the attached zip file to the same folder.
2. Run the application example.
3. Click on "Show Rich Text Internally".
4. Compare the display in the "Contents Text" window when the dw is focused (click on it) and when you click on another object, such as the "Dummy" button.
- Besides the disappearance of pages (I opened bug 5439 for that) the whole text is idented and lines wrap to accomodate in the reduced page width.

Remarks:
1. Data in the example comes from a database,
2. This bug occurs on all the RichTextEdit control options in the application painter, albeit somewhat differently.
3. My windows 10 version is 1909.
4. I have the English and Hebrew languages installed on my computer, Region defined as Israel and Regional format "Hebrew (Israel)".
OS:
Windows 10
Platform:
64-bit
Database Type:
SAP SQL Anywhere
Database Version:
17
