to be clear I am not asking for a work around., i am asking for datawindows to support this directly. standard sql should work in a datawindow. i am asking for the datawindow to work with current sql standards

*Phenomenon: Unable to use common table expressions - CTE - in a datawindow *Reproduce Steps: write a CTE query and get it working in a datawindow. the datawindow will not show any columns Remarks: CTE was added to the SQL99 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL:1999 it is supported by all major databases: sql server, oracle, postgresql, mysql
