Hi Ken,
you can close the ticket. But I hope Appeon will change the mind in this case. Using Soap is really hard with HTTPClient.

Hi René,

HTTPClient is powerful and flexible, which is why we added this feature to PB.
As for SOAP, we have no plan to enhance it at this moment. I hope you can understand.

Hi Ken,
This is too bad. How it works is not my idea of RAD.

Hi René,

There is no plan to continue the maintenance of SOAP, if you need to call SOAP, We suggest that you use HTTPClient. See the following link for reference:

Are there any plans to help developers handle SOAP syntax?
Ken Guo @Appeon 17 July, 2019
Hi René,

In Appeon PB, the Web Service is indeed obsoleted.
However, currently we will not remove the Web Service feature, but we will not enhance and maintain the Web Service feature in the future. It is recommended to use HTTPClient to handle Web functions.

In PB 2019 the Web Service Proxy seems to be obsolete.
I've found statements to use the HTTPClient instead.
IMHO this is not the same. The developer have to write and parse the all data for the communication process. This is much more work and needs to know much about SOAP. Especially if the used functions uses complex data types it is a nightmare. I have to consume Web Services that have parameters with nested structures that also may contain files.
This in not the idea of using Web Services and rapid development.

Please don't let the Web Service die. I would prefer you would enhance the feature (e.g. support certificate based secured web services).
