If SAP added code and/or configuration so the script editor in the IDE would color Longptr as it does for other datatypes and it is failing to do what it was designed to do then it is a "legacy" bug. However, it is my understanding that SAP never did this like so many things about 64-bit they did was half-baked. We specifically have plans in PB 2019 R2/R3 to address many of the 64-bit issues. So whether we think something should be there or work a certain way is not the determining factor to classify it as a bug.

Hi Armeen;

  Its definitely a "legacy" issue bug IMHO. However, this feature is a key element of Appeon PB properly supporting 64 bit Apps. That's why I suggested that we address this in the PB2019 beta's.

This doesn't sound like a bug but rather an enhancement. I'm not debating its importance but tickets should be properly classified.

It is also an issue in the variable panes (instance/shared/global) and Edit Source.

Hi Ken;

  FWIW: Note that this issue is extremely important and should be fixed in PB 2019 beta!

Hi Roland,

Thanks for reporting this problem! We reproduced it on our end. We will keep you posted about the progress.

Hi Roland;

 You are 100% correct! I can replicate this non-compliance in PB2017R3 MR01 & PB2019 Beta#1.  :-(

  FYI: I am going to change this ticket and assign this issue to PB2018/2019 so that it can more more easily fixed ASAP for the next release of PB.
      I hope that this is OK with you?

Regards ... Chris

The script editor in the IDE should color Longptr as it does for other datatypes.
