Hi Lin & Sreeram,

It sounds like that you are not using the cloud version of BitBucket. I’ve done some test on the on-premise version and I can reproduce the issue.
Even though I can’t push, but it seems to work fine when I pull from the server.
I will pass the issue to our developer team to further analyze for a solution. We will update you when we make any progress.

In the meantime, you may use TortoiseGit to do the push to work around this issue. You may also try the cloud version of BitBucket or Bonobo Git Server.

BTW, are you using https with a self-signed certificate? Or you are using http? Do you get the same error if you use http?

Hi Sreeram,

We can't reproduce the issue on the cloud version of BitBucket either.
Please verify with a simple sample workspace and a new repository with all
default settings. If you still get the error, please provide us the link and
account to verify the issue. You can send the information to
support@appeon.com. Thanks!

Hi Tom, We have tried with the option you have suggested. Still we are getting the same error. Kindly contact Lin.Xu@McKesson.com for the working session to connect with our servers. Please let em know if you need anything more. Regards,, Sreeram

Hi Sreeram,

We can't reproduce the issue on Bit Bucket V 5.12.

1. Please check your security settings and see if you have full access to
the repository?
2. Please try connecting to your Git server using TortoiseGit and see if you
can get any specific error?
3. Please verify if you have the same issue using the cloud version of
GitBucket?

BTW, before you use "Connect to workspace" you should have added the source
code to GitBucket from PowerBuilder using "Add to source control." Have you
successfully done that? Please try the same configuration and account when
you use "Connect to workspace."

Tom Jiang
Hi Tom, Please find my replies below, 1. The repository has full permission or access. 2. Able to access the repository via Tortoise Git. We are able to pull and push using Tortoise Git. 3. we are using the Cloud based bit bucket only. Earlier , we were able to connect to workspace option of PowerBuilder 2017 R3 to connect to Git (bit bucket version). Also, we tried option "open workspace" from folder then use "Add to source control". It was successfully added. But, if you try to pull or push. Getting "Generic Error". Since, the repository is not getting connected "Failed to perform specified Operation. Please make sure you can connect to the server repository" Regards, Sreeram Sankaranarayanan
